AJRM is back

I wanted to let you know that the Australian Journal of Railway Modelling (AJRM) issue 11 has just been published. Stephen and I have taken delivery of the magazines. The magazine makes a welcome return after a seven year hiatus.

There is a website at www.ajrm.com.au (with a temporary redirect at the moment) and a Twitter feed AusJRM to keep people up to date with what's happening. The new web pages should be up in the next couple of weeks with details about purchasing, back issues, and subscriptions (with a couple of interesting features). As well, there will be a form for retail vendors to order copies for sale at shops.

Copies should be available from some of the commercial vendors at the Epping Model Railway Exhibition at Thornleigh in Sydney this long weekend. There are some great articles inside, even if I do say so myself.

Check out the cover here:

... and the magazine itself over the weekend.

  1. This is great news! I hope it continues for many years as a semi-regular publication--we need more great Australian modeling ideas and models showcased than "the other magazine" can find room to print. The previous 10 issues are one of the best investments I've ever made in modeling NSW outline. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing a copy soon!

Yes, a very nice article on weathering aluminium hoppers. All I have to do now is interpret it for some TRCs. I haven't managed to get the colour right after several tries so this might be just the direction I need.

Congratulations Brad and Steven on an excellent magazine.

  4. Brad,

I have posted the news on the VR Enthusiasts forum (http://www.vr-enthusiast.com/forum/)as it is the sort of thing many of the members of the forum would be interested in.

  6. This is great news indeed! I have the previous 10 issues and thought there would never be any more. My problem is that I now live in a small country town in SA, so am unable to get a copy from my "local supplier". Can anybody point me in the right direction to obtain a copy via internet order and Post Office delivery please???
    Cheers

  7. Bill,

You can find out how to get the magazine directly from www.ajrm.com.au and click on the tab "Buy AJRM". But as it is, I have also received your email and responded accordingly. Thanks for your support.
